IMPLEMENT - a distribution center
Implementation of the distribution center involves taking an unoccupied and sometimes recently complted facility and making it operational. Implementation will not be successful unless the implementation was a consideration in the entire project schedule.
Primary items to consider in the implementation phase are final occupancy permits from local municipalities, staffing, including local management, data and communications service to the building, warehouse communications management software, customer and vendor announcements, material handling installation and the inventory layout.
